Oregon Wine, Food & Brew Festival This Weekend

Foodies and winies (winos or maybe just lover of good wine) rejoice! The Oregon Wine, Food & Brew Festival is this weekend, January 8 and 9 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds.

This is the 28th year for the festival and plans are for it to be bigger and better than ever. The festival has been purchased by Scott and Jill Ingalls, owners of Ingalls & Associates of Lebanon, Oregon.

The festival will feature dozens of Oregon Wineries, food, art and main stage entertainment. Vendors will include upscale area restaurants, chocolatiers, bakeries, micro breweries and focus on Oregon specific foods & produce in the Festival.  Admission will include several cooking and wine classes put on by local experts. Some wineries will charge for the tastes but others will be free.

Attendance at the event has waned in the last few years. Our goal is to improve the caliber of the vendors so you really do feel like you're at a nicer event," Scott Ingalls said, adding that he and Jill had worked especially hard to attract more food vendors and visual artists.

"We want this to become Salem’s signature event again", says new owner Scott Ingalls. "This used to be the premier event in Salem and should be again".
