Halloween Safety

In all the Halloween excitement, kids tend to forget basic safety. Here are ways to keep them safe: 

• Make sure costumes are fire proof and the eye holes re large enough for good peripheral vision.
• Carry a flashlight.
• Place porch Jack-o-lanterns out of the way of kids and their costumes.
• Have kids eat a good Halloween dinner prior to trick-or-treating. They are less likely to eat candy before you can check it.
• Remind the kids to not get into the cars of strangers, look both ways before crossing the street, and only visit houses of people they know.
