Our motivation is not only to help our clients buy a house but also integrate them into the community. We’re not satisfied until we know that we’ve made the right match of people, home and neighborhood. Because our clients respond to our genuine interest, many of those whom we’ve helped move to Salem have become friends. I think that’s because we not only have all the resources to meet our clients’ needs when it comes to the details of moving, we also make each move a custom-tailored, personal experience. There’s no “one-size-fits-all” procedure. I really like people, and I enjoy taking the time to find out what is going to make them happy, whether it’s locating the best local farmer’s market, discovering a wonderful hiking trail or finding the right schools for their kids. David and Dewey Whitton can’t think of a better place to live than Salem, Oregon, with its unique blend of small–town friendliness and cultural and educational opportunities usually found in larger urban areas. They’ve been here for 15 years and have no intention of living anywhere else. Their warm and welcoming approach has eased the way for the hundreds of people they have helped relocate to Salem and gained them recognition as Salem’s Relocation Experts. Dewey and Dave are parents to two lovable dogs (Jake and Keesha) whom they rescued from the Humane Society. Dewey’s clients and potential clients tend to become a part of her personal network, even after the successful sale of a home. Always in the process of “doing” things for her clients (hence her nickname, Dewey), she delights in helping new Salem residents settle into the community. Dewey has been a licensed broker in Salem since 1995 and has in-depth knowledge of the Willamette Valley market. She is a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), a designation held by only 2% of REALTORS® in the US. Her volunteer efforts include work with the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, South Salem Rotary, Boys and Girls Clubs and the Willamette Valley Humane Society. David uses his extensive background in information technology to provide The Whitton Group’s clients with a moving experience that is unmatched in its commitment to serving their every need. He also works with the office staff to make sure that every client is treated like a VIP from the initial meeting through closing and beyond. Doris recently associated with The Whitton Group after over 25 years of business experience, progressing to the corporate officer level with emphasis in casualty insurance and human resource management. Her experience in managing relocation of personnel and related matters make her uniquely qualified to assist buyers in locating a home that meets their needs. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, and has continued studies at the graduate school level. |
